“…tfw you spent six hours in bed looking at recipes for steamed shrimp dumplings and how-to instructions about making a scarecrow for your balcony and pictures of someones baby wearing six different washes of denim overalls (and does the fact that this baby has pudding on its nose in a number of the pictures indicate a potential obsession-with clowns?) and now you’ve stumbled across a deep well of memes featuring black-and-white illustrations of striped-suit prisoners that have been resampled to the point where previously sharp edges of drawn shapes have turned grainy and take on a role in expressing that a cocktail of mind-numbing chemicals has been added to your pasta so now you have to begin a thrice daily regimen of seawater enemas and fresh kelp facemasks if you want to have any chance of thinking clearly and you just can’t…”

Since receiving his MFA at The University of Texas at Austin in 2013 he has been making work concerned with alternative food and health culture, a survivalist/escapist impulse, and functional illustration as seen through internet communities.
