POM POM
April 3 2015, 6-9pm

Front/Space presents Pom Pom, a pop-up shop featuring work from A Lunar Venture Handmade, Annabell Penelope Lee, and Jen Wilkinson. Themes of Americana and the approach of summer were a constant thought in the creation of these handmade home goods, jewelry, and accessories. In this temporary retail space, the three makers invite you to traverse a threshold between fine art and function. The work plays with the blending of art and design using emblematic materials and arrangements. Each of the spring lines is truly a sensory experience filled with a new take on classic patterns.

Opening reception Friday April 3rd from 6-9pm

Additional store hours will be held Saturday April 4th, 11th, and 18th from 12-4pm.

About A Lunar Venture Handmade:
Lauren Ventura started A Lunar Venture Handmade in 2013 with the intention of creating long-lasting, fine home textiles that can be appreciated for years to come. As a first-generation American raised in an immigrant household, she learned to value and care for everything her home, and that made quality design and durability in products extremely important. Weaving is an especially important part of the making process, because while it speaks to the meticulous and methodical maker, it leaves room for the serendipitous variations that make each object unique. A lunar Venture Handmade takes pride in the making of resilient textiles that enhance the already beautiful everyday.
