Auroral Confetti
June 5, 2015

FrontSpace celebrates the coming of summer with Auroral Confetti, an installation by artist Dana Lynn Harper (Columbus, OH). Populated by a cloud-like atmosphere of colorful and intricate forms, the space has become a site for discovery. The installation is comprised of small sculptures made of polymer clay, found plastics, neon fabric, tinsel and glass. Inspired by cartoons, coral reef diatoms and pollen, no one entity is alike. This micro galaxy celebrates individuality while simultaneously acknowledging the power of the collective body. Investigating each organism within the whole, a thriving ecosystem of nuance and wonder emerges.
